Thorn's Mii, a Cross Dresser slowly morphing into an anime character. He has a crush on Midna that appears is reciprocated, but neither seems to want to act on it.

• Attractive Bent-Gender: The audience frequently points out how good he looks in his outfits. Thorn likes to point out that it's how he is in real life.
• Catchphrase: 'I swear it's good', in reference to Thorn's tendency to like a game at the start of a Let's Play but eventually come to hate it.
• Dogged Nice Guy: To Midna.
• Meido: Thorn gives him a maid's outfit, and then later dies his hair purple. After a bit, he and the audience realize that the Mii now looks like an anime maid.
• Pet the Dog: He gets the most expensive interior at the end of the LP as thanks for being there from the beginning. Thorn also lets him wear a cool spacesuit instead of his usual unwanted dresses.
• Twice Shy: He wants to get together with Midna, but neither acts on it, despite both hinting that they like each other. Their BFF status suffers because of it.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: Owl is one of his best friends, with whom he gets into violent fights constantly.
• Wholesome Crossdresser: Thorn only gives him cute female-centric outfits. Though he usually doesn't like them, he continues to wear them regularly and acts like anyone else.
• Word Salad Lyrics: His song 'Thorn in the Brain' is a stream of disconnected Black Comedy lines.

• You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Gets his hair dyed purple early on. It later gets dyed bright green, and then the LP closes with it dyed hot pink.

Owl

An owl apparently perched on a headless human body. He is always causing trouble around the island, and Thorn hates him the most, despite him being one of Thorn's Mii's best friends.

  • 'Hoot hoot, ho.'
  • 'J-j-j-jackash' when he's happy.
• Nice Hat: Wears a large, green, starry top hat.
• Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: To the real-life Thorn. Owl is always causing trouble around the island, getting into fights with Thorn's Mii, and at one point ruins a wedding proposal without even being there. Thorn hates his guts.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: To Thorn's Mii. They fight constantly and often violently, but they're still good friends.

Midna

The Twilight Princess herself, having moved to The Worst Island after her adventures with Hey Hey. She is the most popular Mii on the island, befriends everyone, shows up everywhere, and rivals Andrew W.K. in the field of partying. She's secretly in her thirties. Was in a relationship with Travis that ended abruptly, and hints that she may have feelings for Thorn.

• Angst? What Angst?: She shows no signs of sadness after Travis leaves her for Hatpaca. This combined with her asking if Thorn is seeing anyone convinces Thorn that she really had feelings for him the whole time.
• Catchphrase:
  • 'Kindness sores' when she's happy.
  • 'Damnit, Hey Hey!' when she's angry.
• The Charmer: People innately gravitate towards her to be her friend.
• Genki Girl: She hops excitedly around her apartment when she's by herself.
• Older Than They Look: She was born in 1977.
• Twice Shy: She asks her friends at the cafe if Thorn is in a relationship before and after her relationship with Travis, and the real Thorn wants to get them together, but neither acts on it.

Robo Grandma (Robo Gran)

A robotic, lonely old woman with a very slow voice and eyes too far apart to see properly.

• Cartoony Eyes: Large blue eyes placed far apart.
• Deceptively Human Robots: Looks mostly human until she speaks, when her mannerisms and seemingly deflating speech pattern give her away.
• Hidden Depths: Despite outwardly being an incredibly boring and depressing individual, Andrew W.K. is her best friend.

Pibot

A creepy little robot with a love for murdering the elderly.

• Catchphrase:
  • 'Seagulls aaaaaaaa.'
  • 'FUHKIN BALL GUYS' when he's angry, though the speech program instead reads out the letters.
  • 'Lost da princess' when he's sad.
• Cardboard Prison: Has apparently been to prison at least thirty times.
• Stalker with a Crush: He's still in love with Bomberman.

Tom Waits

The gravely-voiced alternative music icon.

• Catchphrase: 'Away on business', referring to his song 'God's Away on Business'.
• Nice Hat: Has a bowler hat and a trilby.
• Reference Overdosed: He and his songs are filled with references to the real life Tom Waits.

Shadar

The villain of Ni no Kuni, living on The Worst Island to break the hearts of its inhabitants to power his amusement park, Shadar Land.

• Affably Evil: He befriends and tutors PizzaJoe while breaking all of the hearts of the islanders to power his amusement park.
• Catchphrase: Originally 'A souffle~',^note in reference to the Let's Play. Later changed to 'Horse potatoes!' after being inexplicably obsessed with the phrase during a cafe hangout.
• Eyeless Face: Because the Mii maker would not allow for a complete blank face.
• Supreme Chef: While it's never seen, this is part of how Thorn and Travis play him both in this game and the Ni no Kuni Let's Play.

• Interspecies Romance: He's dating a yeti.
• Oop North: Thorn maintains Jarvis's Sheffield accent in the cases where he imitates Jarvis.
• Reference Overdosed: To the real Jarvis' music with Pulp and his solo career.

After exploring the island for the first night, she's spent every stream since waiting at the dock, talking about how she's going to miss everyone when she leaves. In Part 23, Thorn finally gave her her own apartment.^note

• You Can Never Leave: Because the game seemed uncommon in Thorn's town, Lillian never left the island, despite her insistence that she'll miss everyone once she does.
• You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Had turquoise hair when she arrived. Thorn gave her a bath between recordings, and the color washed out, so he re-dyed it light blue.

• Cloud Cuckoolander: He rambles about random Black Comedy subjects to himself, such as his nonexistent neighbor Sven, who has lung cancer.
• Deadpan Snarker: Thorn and Jacob's voice of him is low, monotone, and sarcastic.
• The Stoic: His expression never changes from flat and unimpressed, even when he seems to smile.
• What, Exactly, Is His Job?: He is in the bands Deep Volume and The Worst Band, and all he does in either is dance. In the former he dances behind the curtain, looking like he just wandered onto the stage.

The perpetually miserable Lance Corporal from the Keroro Platoon, having been stuffed into a box and tossed into the ocean, eventually ending up on The Worst Island.

• Black Comedy: All of the humour involving him comes from his sadness.

• Gray Rain of Depression: His interior is an indoor rainstorm, in which he sits quietly and sadly.

Thron Brian

Thorn's off-looking doppelganger, brought onto the island to replace Randall. He is a poorly made clone that has a high-pitched voice, drools a lot, and has trouble forming coherent sentences. His name is a joke on the multiple ways people have misspelled or mispronounced Thorn's username over the years.

• Breakout Character: Thorn and the chat enjoy him and his weird voice so much that he becomes a frequent focus of the streams. He ultimately gets center stage when he and several other favourite islanders sing out the destruction of the island.
• Catchphrase: 'Blrrrrrrrr...'
• Expy: Thron is largely the ThornBrain equivalent of Homsar.
• Most Wonderful Sound: In-Universe, him saying his Catchphrase causes Thorn to cry laughing for several minutes straight.
• Nice Hat: Wears a red trucker's hat, then later a feather.
• You Gotta Have Blue Hair: His hair gets dyed hot pink to further disconnect him from the original Thorn. Thorn also gets his hair dyed hot pink at the end of the LP.

Dunhill

The omnipresent mayor of Echo Village, based on Thorn's short stream of A New Beginning, the first month of which is an extended tutorial. After he was added to the island, Thorn never spoke to him again.

• Take That!: Thorn ignores him after adding him, as a shot at how annoying he found Dunhill in the first month of A New Beginning.
